Russell Howard McClelland
Services for Russell Howard McClelland, of Brookhaven, will beheld at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Riverwood Family FuneralService Chapel with burial in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemeteryin Caseyville.
Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. McClelland, 74, died Oct. 25, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn on June 13, 1933, to Bill McClelland and Vivian BrownMcClelland.
He was a graduate of Johnson Station High School in Summit, andCopiah-Lincoln Community College. He was a mechanic withGeorgia-Pacific. He was a member of First Baptist Church ofBrookhaven. A United States Army veteran of World War II, he gaveof his time to work at the Military Memorial Museum in Brookhaven.He was a devoted husband and family man, and a beloved father andgrandfather. He provided invaluable love and support to his familyand friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, DeLois McClelland, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Danita Hobbs and husband Lyle, of Brookhaven, and DeanneAllgood and husband Henry, of Summit; his brothers, HarrellMcClelland, of Summit; his sisters, Earline Pentecost, of Dresden,Tenn., LaFaye Holmes, of Summit, Nora Anderson, of Hattiesburg, andBillie Anne Ladnier, of Ocean Springs; and his grandchildren, BlakeHobbs, Justin Hobbs, Ashley Allgood and Austin Allgood.

Hazel Estelle Neterville Veal
Services for Hazel Estelle Neterville Veal, of Crosby, will beheld at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Gloster First BaptistChurch with burial in Clayton Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.
Mrs. Veal, 89, died Oct. 21, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn in Wilkinson County on Feb. 11, 1918, to Silas Netterville andElanora Clayton.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, HazelNelson; her son, Preston Veal; and her brother, UnionNetterville.
Survivors are her husband, the Rev. John Veal, of Crosby; herdaughters, Alma Johnson, Rosetta Scott, Selenia Mason, PatriciaRogers and Nora Rowe, all of Baton Rouge, La., and Shirley Hall andFlorence Bateaste, of Crosby; her sons, the Rev. David Franklin, ofBaker, La., John Louis Veal, of Franklin County, and Willie Veal,of Crosby; her 58 grandchildren; 134 great-grandchildren; and ahost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
