Services for Vallie Mae Davis, of Sontag, are 2 p.m. Sunday,Dec. 23, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Sontag, with burial in thechurch cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Davis, 94, died Dec. 18, 2007, in Parisburg, Ohio. She wasborn on July 12, 1913, to Kirby Maxwell and Willie Lee ThomasMaxwell.
She was retired and a member of Mt. Zion M.B. Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Booker T.Davis; her daughter, Marie Lawson; her brothers, Abaham Maxwell andHerman Maxwell; and sisters, Estella Tannerhill and VirgieWilson.
Survivors include her sons, Willie Chester Davis and his wife,Katie, Javan Davis and his wife, Margaret, Joseph Davis and hiswife, Ida, all of Toledo, Ohio, Donald Davis and his wife, Pat, ofChicago, Ill., Eugene Davis and Melvin Davis and his wife, Deborah,both of Milwaukee, Wis.; her daughters, Verlene Starks and herhusband, Michael, of Chicago, Willie Evelyn Brown and her husband,the Rev. Elwood Brown, of Sontag, Lizzie Hartwell, of Milwaukee,Wis., and Vanessa Campbell and her husband, Clyde, of Chicago; herbrothers, Elgin Maxwell and his wife, Earnestine, of Monroe, La.,and Thomas Maxwell and his wife, Ozeal, of Oakland, Calif.; 34grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and manygreat-great-grandchildren.
