Polly Ruth Pennington Downs

Services for Polly Ruth Pennington Downs, of Monticello, are 11a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church withburial in Cody, Wyo.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive and Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. atthe church.

Mrs. Downs, 76, died Feb. 26, 2008, at her residence. She wasborn on April 12, 1931, to Bennie B. Pennington and Olive GriffithPennington.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star, BrookhavenChapter No. 1. She was a member of Pleasant Grove MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EarlDowns; and her brother, John F. Pennington.

Survivors include her sister, Peggy Peavy and husband, Conley,of Monticello; her nephews, Benjimin Peavy and Bruce Pennington;her nieces, Pollyanna Temple, Pam Scarborough and Tina Johnson; andseveral great nieces, nephews and other relatives.
