Services for Joe “Papa Joe” Banks Jr., of Brookhaven, will beheld at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at St. Paul MissionaryBaptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in Rose Hill MissionaryBaptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Banks, 54, died March 22, 2008, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on March 6, 1954, to JoeBanks Sr. and Clementine Banks.

He was employed as a logger with Brad Smith Logging for morethan 30 years. He was a member of Watkins Memorial Chapel inBrookhaven, formerly Corinth A.M.E. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Alice MaeBanks and Carolyn Banks Brown.

Survivors are his wife, Pauline Bolds Banks, of Brookhaven; hissons, Micheal Bryant, Kerrick Bryant, Don Bolds and Samuel Johnson,all of Brookhaven; his five grandchildren; and many nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
