Services for Alvin A. Woodard, of Anchorage, Alaska, will beheld at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, at Mt. Olive MissionaryBaptist Church in Kirby with burial in Meadville Cemetery. TylerFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at thefuneral home.

Mr. Woodard, 42, died March 19, 2008, at Anchorage RegionalHospital. He was born in Franklin County on Dec. 12, 1965, toJoseph Woodard and Mae Dell Harris Woodard.

He was a graduate of Franklin County High School. He worked onthe bell staff with Hilton in Anchorage.

Preceding him in death was his father, Joseph Woodard.

Survivors are his mother, Mae Dell Harris Woodard, of Bude; hisdaughters, Chekia Hammette, of Fayette, Kia Woodard and AlishaWoodard, both of Arkansas, Kenyatta Knight, of Brookhaven, andTeanna Smith, of Bude; his brothers, Ronnie Woodard, of Anchorage,and Rickey Woodard, of Bude; his sisters, Pamela Davis, ofMeadville, Brenda Carradine, of Kirby, and Patricia Watkins, ofAnchorage.
