Jonah Freeman

Services for Jonah Freeman, of Caseyville, will be held at 1p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Churchin Caseyville. Hazlehurst Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Freeman was born on Nov. 4, 1946, to Willie Freeman and MaryLue Kelly Freeman.

He was a well-known logger for many years and in his lateryears, became a respected heavy equipment operator at Dickerson andBowen. He joined St. Paul M.B. Church at an early age and was infull fellowship when he departed this life.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, ThelmaJohnson; his brother, Willie L. Freeman; and his grandson, JonathanFreeman Doss.

Survivors are his wife of 41 years, Joann Freeman, ofCaseyville; his daughters, Lori Doss, Regina Fleming, ofCaseyville, Sonya Perdue, of Jackson and Mignon Compton, ofVirginia Beach, Va.; his son, Joshua Collins, of Brookhaven; hissister, Mary Mack, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his brother, John C.Freeman, of Caseyville; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
