WESSON — Enterprise defeated Wesson 10-5 in fastpitch softballaction Friday night. The Lady Jackets pounded out 11 hits in thewin. Kayla Owens was the winning pitcher, allowing 5 runs, 5 hits,2 walks and no strikeouts.

“We hit the ball good today,” said Jacket head coach SteveSasser whose team is riding a 4-game winning streak. “We startedthe year hitting good, fell off in the middle and we are nowgetting our second wind.”

Leading the Enterprise attack was Karla Hux with a triple and aninside-the-park homer. Kolbi Lewis and Ashley Greer each singledtwice. Samantha Richardson, Sarah Burke, Hannah Russell and KaitlynMoak each collected a base hit.

For Wesson,Jessica Haynes singled and tripled. Also getting basehits were Marly McCardle, Nikki McCardle and McKenzie Rials. Rialstook the loss, giving up 10 hits with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts.

In the JV game, Taylor Nelson got win forEnterprise. Amy Lambert paced the Jacket attack with a single and adouble. Russell singled twice. Callie Cole singled. Huxdoubled.

Enterprise travels to Clinton Monday.
