Curtney Gayten
Services for Curtney Gayten, of Bogue Chitto, will be held atnoon on Saturday, April 26, at Jericho Church of Christ in LoydStar with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. R.E. TylerFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mr. Gayten, 25, died April 21, 2008, in Lincoln County. He wasborn in McComb on Oct. 28, 1982, to Terry Gayten and Amie (Annie)Kees Gayten.
He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Copiah-LincolnCommunity College, where he was named Mr. Co-Lin and was inductedinto the Hall of Fame. He attended the University of SouthernMississippi. He was a member of Jericho Church of Christ.
Survivors are his parents; his brother, Terrence Gayten, ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Shasta Gayten and Stephanie Gayten, ofBrookhaven, and Lakisha Smith, of Arlington, Texas.
George W. Richardson
Services for George W. Richardson, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNorth Jackson Street with burial in Easthaven Cemetery inBrookhaven.
Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Richardson, 90, died April 22, 2008, at Haven Hall HealthCare Center. He was born in Center, Ky., on March 25, 1918, toThomas Allen Richardson and Bertha London Richardson.
He was retired and the former owner of the White House Cafe. Hewas a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a memberof the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and theMississippi Law Enforcement Association. He was a Mason and aShriner, and a member of the Oriental Band. He was a member ofCumberland Presbyterian Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Vera MartinRichardson in 1992; and his brothers, Wayne, Harry and SamuelRichardson.
Survivors are his sons, George W. “Bill” Richardson Jr. and wifeCarol, of Hattiesburg, and Raymond Richardson and wife Debbie, ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Marcia Keene and husband Sammy, ofSummit, and Janet Hunter, of Brookhaven; his brothers, HubertRichardson and wife Leola, of Louisville, Ky., and James Richardsonand wife Helen, of Cave City, Ky.; his grandchildren, Missy K. Byrdand Darren, Scott Goleman, Brad Goleman, Stacy McPhil and Matt,Rodney A. Richardson and Christy, Josh R. Richardson and Jennifer,Ashley R. Stroud and Terry, Christy R. Knight and Brian, and MartyRichardson and Robin, his 15 great-grandchildren; and a specialfriend, Betty Ann Ellis, of Brookhaven.
Juanita Gorenflo Smith
Services for Juanita Gorenflo Smith, of Brookhaven, will be heldat 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel onNorth Jackson Street with burial in Union Hall Baptist ChurchCemetery in Lincoln County.
Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Smith, 85, died April 23, 2008, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 18, 1922, to Charles M.Gorenflo and Susie Day Gorenflo.
She was a homemaker and a member of Union Hall BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HuvalSmith; her son, Bobby Lynn Smith; her sister, Evelyn Foster; andher brothers, Charles Gorenflo, Ishom Gorenflo and J.R.Gorenflo.
Survivors are her daughters, Dollie S. Rials, of Brookhaven, andSylvia Allred, of Bakersfield, Calif.; her sister, Bessie Norwood,of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Dwayne Rials, Harold Ray Rials,Julia Allred and Jason Michael Allred; her fivegreat-grandchildren; and her special friend, Bernie Walker.
