Columbine Stewart, of Monticello, 63, died May 17, 2008, at theLawrence County Hospital. She was born in California on March 17,1945, to Oaks Hardin and Pauline Hardin.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JosephEdward Stewart; her sons, Michael Stewart and Joseph Stewart Jr.;and two infant daughters.

Survivors are her sons, Marvin Stewart, of Branson, Mich., andJohn Stewart, of South Carolina; her daughters, Columbine “Connie”Bates and Anna Wilson, both of Monticello; her sisters, DianeTincher, of Indiana, and Rose Vogt, of Illinois; and her sixgrandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
