Doris Newell Moye

Services for Doris Newell Moye, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Monday,June 2, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in Mt. ZionCemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Moye, 83, died May 30, 2008, at Brook Manor Nursing Home.She was born in Copiah County on July 20, 1924, to John B. Newelland Victoria Scarborough Newell.

She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and attendedchurch at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ClydeRaymond Moye; her brothers, Clyde Newell, Houston Newell andGarland Newell; and her sisters, Grace Lowe, Louise Kimble andEloise Britt.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Willie Nelson

Services for Willie Nelson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Tuesday,June 3, at Alexander Junior High School Auditorium with burial inHillcrest Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Nelson, 71, died May 29, 2008, at his residence. He was bornin Brookhaven on June 1, 1936, to Sim Nelson and Effie ArnoldNelson.

He was a retired bus driver for Brookhaven Public Schools. Hewas a member of St. James M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, PercyNelson, Sonny Nelson and Johnny Nelson; and his sisters, OliviaStovall, Margarite Nelson, Carlee Nelson, Teyophine Nelson andMaybell Nelson.

Survivors are his wife, Lou Ella Stewart Nelson, of Brookhaven;his sons, Gregory Stewart, of Gulfport and Chris Nelson, KennethScarbrough and Darryl Keith Nelson, all of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Tomika Howell and Domica Nelson, both of Canton, Ga.,Regina Stewart, of Jackson, Donita Nelson, of Brookhaven, PatHarriss, of Timmonsville, S.C., and Cynthia Morris, of Brookhaven;and his brother, Carl Nelson, of Brookhaven.

Jesse Lee Robinson

Services for Jesse Lee Robinson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, June 3, at St. Paul M.B. Church with burial in New HopeChurch Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 1 until 7 p.m., with family hour from6 until 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Robinson, 73, died May 29, 2008, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born in Lincoln County on April 1, 1935, toMilton “Cooter” Robinson Jr. and Priscilla Patton Robinson.

He was retired. He had worked at Bendix Mobile Home, DaltonTyson offshore, Mississippi Wood Preserving Co., Keystone ScreenWire Plant and McLane Southern as a security guard. He attended NewHope Church School and Progress School and was a member of New HopeM.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, CharlesRobinson; three brothers, L.C. Robinson, Willie Robinson and JamesE. Robinson; and one sister, Gussie White.

Survivors are his wife, Charlene Robinson, of Chicago, Ill.; hissons, Larry Robinson and wife Annie Pearl, and Johnnie Robinson andwife Ada, all of Brookhaven; his daughters, Delores Townsend andhusband Ronnie, of Wesson, and Gloria Harmon and husband Lamont, ofMilwaukee, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; hisbrothers, Odell Robinson, of Milwaukee, and David Robinson and wifeShirley, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Lela Mae Blissette and DaiseyL. Robinson, both of Brookhaven; and many nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
