Services for Linda Ann Clark, of Brookhaven, will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, June 14, at St. Paul M.B. Church in Brookhavenwith burial in New Hope Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Friday, from 1 until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Clark, 58, died June 8, 2008, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Brookhaven on April 26,1950, to Dan Tucker Jr. and Elaine Robinson Tucker.

She was a 1982 graduate of Brookhaven High School. She wasemployed at Keystone Seneca Wire Cloth Company for 30 years. Shewas a member of New Hope M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Larry Clark Sr.; herson, Tyrone Clark; her father, Dan Tucker Jr.

Survivors are her mother, Elaine Tucker Lyons and husband, IkeLyons, of Brookhaven; her son, Patrick Clark and wife, Valerie, ofBrookhaven; her son, Cast Clark and wife, Patricia, of Hazlehurst;her son, Michael Clark and wife, Nadjia, of Brookhaven; her son,Leroy Clark Jr. and wife, Virginia, of Texas; her sister, Mattie J.Richardson, of Mich.; her brother, Troy W. Tucker, of Brookhaven;and nine grandchildren.

Deborah Patterson

Services for Deborah Braxton Patterson , of Brookhaven, will beheld at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at St. Mark M.B. Church inBrookhaven with burial in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, June 13, 2008, from 1 until 6 p.m. atWilliams Mortuary.

Mrs. Patterson, 52, died June 9, 2008, at University ofMississippi Medical Center. She was born in Brookhaven on July 7,1955, to Sam Kelly and Frances Braxton.

She was disabled. She was a member of St. Mark M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Jerry Patterson.

Survivors are her mother, Frances Braxton, of Brookhaven; herfather, Sam Kelly, of Brookhaven; her son, Johnny Patterson and hiswife, Cornelius, of Iowa City, Iowa; her son, Tony Patterson, ofBrookhaven; her sisters, Annie Pearl Johnson, Annie Lee Thompsonand Charlene Braxton, all of Brookhaven; her brother, Tommy JamesBraxton Jr. and his wife Shirley, of Brookhaven; six grandchildren;a devoted friend, James Earl Jones; and many nieces, nephews andother relatives.

Mary Constance ‘Connie’ Shiel

Services for Mary Constance “Connie” Shiel, of Park Hills, Mo.,will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at Mission Hill BaptistChurch in Lincoln County.

Mrs. Shiel,49, formerly of Brookhaven, died June 5, 2008, at herresidence in Park Hills of an apparent heart attack.

She was a lifelong dog groomer. She loved animals, hunting andfishing.

She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School.

Preceding her in death were her mother, Mary Yvonne Shiel; andher brother, Royce E. Shiel.

Survivors are her father, Royce N. “Sonny” Shiel; herstepmother, Gearldene Shiel, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Lana W.Schultz and son-in-law, Edward Schultz, of Illinois.

Alta Smith

Services for Alta Ouida Smith, of Brookhaven, will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, June 13, at the Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Damascus Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Friday from 9 until 11 a.m. at funeral home.

Mrs. Smith, 83, died June 10, 2008, at King’s Daughter MedicalCenter. She was born in Delhi, La., on Oct. 20, 1924, to LandyCupit and Myrtis Strait Cupit.

She was a retired nurse aide from Ochsner Medical Center in NewOrleans, La. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Delton Lamar Smith; herparents, Landy and Myrtis Strait Cupit; and her sister, Emma JeanCampbell.

Survivors are her son, Darrell G. Smith, of Brookhaven; herbrother, James E. Cupit, of Daleville, Ala.; and her sister, HelenC. Martin, of McCall Creek. She had two grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.

Sherry Lynn Burns Starnes

Services for Sherry Lynn Burns Starnes, of Pearl, were held at10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel in Brookhaven with burial in Cold Springs Church of ChristCemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Mrs. Starnes, 43, died June 7, 2008, in Whitesburg, Tenn. Shewas born on Oct. 31, 1964, to Troy Burns and Phyllis ToneyFaulkner.

Her greatest joy and accomplishment in life were her threechildren.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Lillian and TedBurns; her grandmother, Jean Faulkner; her grandfather, Carl Toney;and her brother; Carl Lynell Burns.

Survivors are her husband Russell Starnes, of Whitesburg, Tenn.;her son, Dustin Starnes, of Jackson; her daughters, Rusti Yates andhusband, Cameron, of Brandon, and Amanda Starnes, of Pearl; herfather, Troy Burns, of Pearl; her mother, Phyllis Toney Faulknerand husband, Tym, of Ridgeland; her grandmother, Louise Toney; hergreat-grandmother, Ora Hamilton; her grandparents, Harlan and AnneStarnes; her grandfather, Johnnye Denman; her brother, Joe BrockFaulkner and wife, Ashley, of Brandon; her sisters, Toni Fox, ofMurfreesboro, Tenn., Felicia Williams, of Brandon, Paula Starnes,of Jackson, Tara Wilborne, of Morristown, Tenn.; her grandchild,Ryan Yates; and a host of family and friends.
