Services for W.J. Scott Jr., of the Pleasant Valley community inMeadville, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Pleasant ValleyBaptist Church in Meadville with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Franklin FuneralHome in Meadville.

Mr. Scott, 83, died June 22, 2008, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born on Jan. 16, 1927, to W.J.Scott Sr. and Velma Smith Scott.

He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of PleasantValley Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Betty FrithScott; and four brothers.

Survivors include his sons, Doug Zeigler, of McCall Creek, andJames R. Scott, of Pass Christian; his daughters, Dianne Threeton,of Gulfport, Regina Roy, of Eddiceton, and Rehtta LeCroix, of BatonRouge, La.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
