Claude V. Case

Services for Claude V. Case, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Tuesday,July 22, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. The Rev. Talmadge Smith, the Rev. Ronnie Robinson and theRev. Garland Boyd will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home on NorthJackson Street is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Case, 96, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 20,2008. He died at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County onMarch 11, 1912, to Monroe Case and Della Case.

He worked for Brookhaven Creamery for many years and retiredfrom Silver Cross Nursing Home’s maintenance department. He was alongtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven. He was amember of the Van Seales Sunday school class.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Gracie Case;his two sons, Jerry T. Case and Paul K. Case; and a grandson, ChrisCase.

Survivors are a son, Phillip Case, of Brookhaven; a daughter,Agnes Jordan and husband, Merle, of Scottsboro, Ala.; adaughter-in-law, Ann Case, of Brookhaven; his six grandchildren,Regina McCaffrey, Blake Case, Kenneth P. Case, all of Brookhaven,Robin Akins and Kelly Jordan, of Scottsboro, and Missy Whitehead,of Natchez; his 12 great-grandchildren; his twogreat-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Inez Bowman, ofBrookhaven.

Pallbearers will be Greg McCaffrey, Kenny Case, Jeremiah Akins,Jimmy Diamond, Scotty Prather and David Bowman. Honorarypallbearers will be members of Van Seales Sunday school class.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macedonia BaptistChurch.
