Services for Ruth H. Hedgepeth, of Silver Creek, are 2 p.m.Monday, Sept. 29, at Hepzibah Baptist Church in Silver Creek withburial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello isin charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hedgepeth, 79, died Sept. 27, 2008, at Lawrence CountyHospital in Monticello. She was born on April 10, 1929, to RobertCarson Harvey and Annie Mable Davis Harvey.

She was a homemaker and a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband WayneDaniels Hedgepeth; a son, Ronald Daniels Hedgepeth; two brothers;and a sister.

Survivors include her son, Samuel Wayne Hedgepeth and wife, Sue,of Greenville; her daughters, Joyce H. Smith and husband, Terrell,of Oakvale, and Nora King and husband, Coyle, of Silver Creek; herdaughter-in-law, Neoto McCullough, of Cantonement, Fla.; hersister, Ann Harvey Sanders, of Silver Creek; and her grandchildren,Billy Terrell Smith, Thomas Wayne Smith, Tabatha King Hewitt,Shannon Coyle King, Amy Ruth Davis, Davis Loyd Hedgepeth, SueAnneHedgepeth and Amanda Hedgepeth Mackey.
