Services for Paul E. “Ted” Rutland, of Monticello, were 11 a.m.Thursday, Oct. 9, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inProvidence Baptist Church Cemetery in Jayess.

Mr. Rutland, 80, died Oct. 7, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Jayess on June 15, 1928, to Walter Leon Rutland Sr. andEmma Mae Terry Rutland.

He was a retired pipeliner. He was a member of ProvidenceBaptist Church in Jayess.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary NellWallace Rutland; and a son, Carl Edward Rutland.

Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Vita Jewell Rutland, ofGeorgia, and his three grandchildren.
