Services for Geraldine Crum Watkins, of Robstown, Texas, are 2p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Highway 44 Church of Christ in Robstownwith burial in Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery. Sawyer-GeorgeFuneral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas is in charge ofarrangements.
Mrs. Watkins, 75, died Nov. 7, 2008, at a Corpus Christi hospital.She was born in Bogue Chitto on March 1, 1933, to Ernest and MattieLaird Johnston.
Mrs. Watkins married Lawrence Crum in 1950 and spent the next 20years as a preacher’s wife. After her husband passed away whileserving as minister at Highway 44 Church of Christ, she wasemployed as a bank teller at State National Bank in Robstown. Latershe married W.R. “Pug” Watkins. She was a member of Highway 44Church of Christ. She loved the Lord and her family.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Lawrence Crum; herhusband, W.R. “Pug” Watkins; and a grandson, Quinton Crum.
Survivors are her daughters, Nancy Crum, of Robstown, and MarthaWilks and husband, Darwin, of Grapevine, Texas; a son, David Crumand wife, Amber, of Robstown; a brother, Elwin Johnston, of BogueChitto; his six grandchildren, Bobby Hestand and wife, Traci,Jeseph Crum, Brandon Stover, Bobbi Stover, and Jay Walthall andwife, Shannon, and Jill Walthall; a great-grandchild, Adam Hestand;numerous nieces and nephews; and her church family at Highway 44Church of Christ.
