Hugh Darryl Huhn

Services for Hugh Darryl Huhn, of Pensacola, Fla., were Thursday,Nov. 6, at East Brent Baptist Church with burial at BarrancasNational Cemetery. Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Huhn, 60, died Nov. 2, 2008, at his residence where he haslived for 37 years. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 17, 1946, toJack and Mozell Huhn, who lived in the Topisaw churchcommunity.

He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1969with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He served hiscountry in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. At the timeof his death, he was employed by American General Transportation inSpanish Fort, Ala.

Mr. Huhn was active in many church and civic organizations and wasknown for his generosity, kindness and loving spirit. For 15 years,he and his family have been active members of East Brent BaptistChurch. He loved working in his yard, watching football, and mostof all, playing with his two beloved grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his loving wife of 36 years, Nancy; his sons, DavidHuhn and wife, Betsy, of Pace, Fla., and Scott Huhn, of Pensacola,Fla; a brother, Edmond Huhn and wife, Silvia, of Pearl; his twograndchildren, Mackenzie and Jack; a special cousin, DixieWilliams, of Bogue Chitto; and many close relatives, dear friendsand neighbors.

Services for Joe L. White, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Monday, Nov.10, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive with burialin Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 4 until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m.until the time of the service. Both visitations will be at thefuneral home.

Mr. White, 63, died Nov. 7, 2008, at his residence. He was born inHattiesburg on Nov. 16, 1944, to Garland White and Thelma WootenWhite.

He was a sales manager at Woolwine Ford in Collins for 38 years. Heattended First United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Joan WhiteAnderson; and his niece, Jennifer Gail White.

Survivors are his daughter, Lisa Jo Greer and husband, Jewell, ofMeridian; his son, Todd White, and wife, Diane, of Franklin, Tenn.;his son, Slade White, of Hattiesburg; his brother, Jack White, andwife, Gail, of Hattiesburg; his sisters, Dr. Janet White-Mountain,of Gulfport, and Judy White Sturtevant, of Gautier; five grandsons;one great-grandson; several nephews and nieces; and a very specialfriend, Barbara J. Smith.
