Services for Sarah Delaughter Morgan, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, Nov. 21, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inRosehill Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Morgan, 92, died Nov. 18, 2008, at Haven Hall HealthcareCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 1,1916, to Walter Grey Delaughter and Mary “Doll” SmithDelaughter.

She was a machine operator at Stahl Urban and was a retiredclerk from the Clark Company. Since her retirement, she workedpart-time at Jones Meat Market and was a longtime volunteer atKing’s Daughters Medical Center. Mrs. Morgan was a member of theWilling Hearts Circle and the VFW Auxiliary. Her hobbies includedsewing, volunteering and caring for her family. She was a member ofFirst United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, CarlMorgan; a daughter, Nancy Dunaway; her two brothers, Bennie andRube Delaughter; and her four sisters, Nannie Bell Cox, Jessie MaeDelaughter Jolson, Velma Delaney and Laura Lowrey.

Survivors are a son, Dicky Morgan, of Ridgeland; a daughter,Cathy Morgan Griffin, of Brookhaven; a sister, Gladys SmithDiamond, of Hammond, La.; a son-in-law, Dan Dunaway, of Jayess; herseven grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; and agreat-great-grandchild.
