Services for James Othell Magee, of Vidalia, La., are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville withburial in McCall Creek Church of God Cemetery. The Rev. KennethSmith will officiate.
Mr. Magee, 71, died Nov. 29, 2008, at Christus St. FrancesCabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. He was born in Franklin Countyon Aug. 14, 1937, to Stevie Magee and Jocie Smith Magee.
He was a retired store manager. He was a member of McCall CreekChurch of God.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a stepson, RaymonCrosby.
Survivors are his wife, Janice King Magee, of Vidalia; his sons,Dewayne Magee and wife, JoAnna, of Brandon, Randy Magee, ofFerriday, La., and Jimmy Magee and wife, Jennifer, of Pineville,La.; his daughters, Carol Parsons and husband, Johnny, of Wesson,and Yvonne Autonberry and husband, James, of Fort Campbell; hisbrothers, David Magee, S.E. Magee and Charles Magee, all of McCallCreek; his sisters, Vonceil Smith, Pauline Jackson and ElaineArnold, all of McCall Creek; a daughter-in-law, Diana Crosby, ofVidalia; his 11 grandchildren; his four great-grandchildren; and ahost of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Mark Jackson, Jerry Arnold, Tyler Crosby, AlexMagee, Mike McFarland and Bubba Johnson.
