Services for William O. King, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. Wednesday,Dec. 10, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive withburial in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. King, 84, died Dec. 6, 2008, at Silver Cross Home. He was bornin Lincoln County on Jan. 9, 1924, to James Hiram King and DixieDykes King.

He retired from Armstrong Tire. He served in the U.S. Army AirCorps during World War II. He was a member of Bethel UnitedMethodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Eva Oliver King;a daughter, Lynda Faye King; and a grandchild, KimberlyFreeman.

Survivors are a daughter, Barbara King Freeman, of Stockbridge,Ga.; a brother, Robert C. King, of Brookhaven; his sisters, RubyWilliams, of Hattiesburg, Helen Brown, of Clinton, and Liz Lambert,of Brookhaven; his two grandchildren, Kellie Russell, ofHenryville, Ind., and Brian W. Freeman, of Augusta, Ga.; his sevengreat-grandchildren, Charlie Russell, Tommy Russell, KimberlyRussell, Johnny Russell, Brielle Freeman , Breez Freeman andBroderick Freeman.

Tommy Lou Smith Leggett

Graveside services for Tommy Lou Smith Leggett, of Brookhaven, are11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at New Salem Church of Christ Cemeteryin Brookhaven.

Visitation is Wednesday from 10 until 10:30 a.m. at RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service.

Mrs. Leggett, 72, died Dec. 8, 2008, at her residence. She was bornon Oct. 18, 1936, to Clovis Swilley and Francis Dearman SwilleyGriffin.

She was in management. She was a member of New Hope Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Rudolph”R.J.” Smith Jr. and Rayford Leggett; and a brother, DwenSwilley.

Survivors are her sons, Rudy Smith and wife, Amy, of Brookhaven;and Joel Smith, of Shreveport, La.; her brothers, Howard Griffin,of Brookhaven, Michael Griffin and Richard Griffin, both ofGulfport; her sisters, Karen Herrin, of Wiggins, and Peggy Johnson,of Tacoma, Wash.; her seven grandchildren, Michele Camarata,Catherine Carlisle, Shannon and Jody Sapluadbo, Jeremy and DawnRobbins, R.J. and Sharon Smith, Toby and Jackie Smith and StevenSmith; and her eight great-grandchildren.

Sue Brown Savell

Services for Sue Brown Savell, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Union Hall Baptist Church in Brookhaven withburial in Ruth Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive.

Mrs. Savell, 81, died Dec. 7, 2008, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born in Slaughter on Sept. 5, 1927, toAndrew Byron Brown and Clara Stevens Brown.

She was a retired schoolteacher. She was a member of Union HallBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Clifford,James, Charles and Bob Brown; her sisters, Mary C. Yount and JackiePerkins; a granddaughter, Michelle Weeks; and a great-grandson, EliRobbins.

Survivors are her husband, the Rev. Herbert Savell, of Brookhaven;a daughter, Sherry Miller and husband, Bobby, of Brandon; a son,Steve Savell and wife, Maggie, of Toccoa, Ga.; a brother, AndrewByron Brown II, of Anguilla; a sister, Pollye Bridges, of SilverCity; her six grandchildren; and her 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Union Hall Baptist Church buildingfund.
