Services for Robert Lee “Monster” Brown, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Friendship M.B. Church in Brookhavenwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Brown, 60, died Dec. 6, 2008, at his residence. He was born inAdams County on Oct. 12, 1948, to Lonnie B. “Boot” Brown and LessieRee Brown Dixon.

He was a 1968 graduate of Alexander High School. He was disabled.He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Mr. Brownreceived several medals for his service including, the NationalDefense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Crossof Gallantry with Palm. He was a member of St. Paul M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; and his grandparents.

Survivors are his mother, Lessie Ree Dixon, of Brookhaven; a son,Ya’quilla Washington, of Brookhaven; a brother, Renardo Dixon andwife, Usheka, of Baytown, Texas; his sisters, Annie Dixon Phillipsand husband, Eugene, Mary Dixon Washington and Chantay Dixon Evans,all of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives,friends and his sisters and brothers in Christ.
