Bobbie P. Hickman, 71, of Summit, passed away Jan. 6, 2009, ather residence due to cancer.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Jones FamilyFuneral Services of McComb with visitation again on Saturday from 8a.m. until services at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. VanWindom and Bro. Lloyd Thompson will officiate. Burial will be atPike Memorial Cemetery in McComb.
Mrs. Hickman was born March 11, 1937, in Utica. She was thedaughter of the late Johnnie McCree and Gracie Ida HamiltonFurlow.
Bobbie was a homemaker and a member of West McComb BaptistChurch. Her family said she was a precious lady who gave ofherself; especially to her friends and family. She was soft andkind and loved to fish and was an avid gardener. She will be sadlymissed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Hickman is preceded in death by her parents; her husband,Herman W. “Boogie” Hickman; four sisters, Louise Furlow, DorisParson, Janice Case and Jerline Case; three brothers, RonnieFurlow, Vernon Furlow and Willie Furlow.
Survivors include her son, Herman W. “Butch” Hickman, of Summit;one brother, Harold Furlow, of Wesson; three sisters, Aline Allen,of McComb, Margie Smith and husband, Billy, of Wesson, and BerniceBenoit and husband, Roy, of Summit; two very special sisters-in-lawand brother-in-law, Mildred and Billy Hutson, of Magnolia, andLouise Felder, of McComb; a very special nephew, Michael Furlow, ofDallas, Texas; along with several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Herrington, Greg Smith, Johnny L.Parsons Jr., Anthony Case, Gary Allen and Charles “Chuck”Moffitt.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry McKey, Mike Love, Ralph Case,Vance Varley, Herman Hutson, Scott Mixon and Ben Mixon.
