Lillian J. Cockerham
Services for Lillian J. Cockerham, of Wesson, are 2 p.m. Friday,Jan. 16, at New Salem Church of Christ with burial in the churchcemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on North Jackson Street and Friday from noon until 2 p.m. atthe church.
Mrs. Cockerham, 78, died Jan. 13, 2009, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. She was born in Brookhaven on March2, 1930, to Carlos Butler Smith and Maggie Lee Anderson Smith.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Salem Church ofChrist.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, ElmerJ. Cockerham.
Survivors are a sister, Doris Mathis and husband, Maxie, ofWesson; a niece, Marie Mercier and husband, Jeff; her great nieces,Leannda Goss and Ashley Goss; a great nephew, Kevin Goss; and manyother nieces and nephews.
Eugene McWee Sr.
Services for Eugene McWee Sr., of McCall Creek, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 17, at Cool Springs M.B. Church in McCall Creek withburial in St. Luke Cemetery in McCall Creek.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family present from 6 until 7 p.m.
Mr. McWee, 75, died Jan. 13, 2009, at Manhattan Nursing andRehabilitation Center in Jackson. He was born in Franklin County onApril 13, 1933, to Manuel McWee and Mary Wilcher McWee.
He was retired. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member ofChristian Springs M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, EsterMcWee; and a son, Andre A. Williams.
Survivors are his wife, Catherine Bell McWee, of McCall Creek;his sons, Bobby Burks, of Baton Rouge, La., Eugene McWee Jr. andwife, Cindy, of Bude, Tom Lias and wife, Ginger, of Austin, Texas,Bryan McWee and wife, Patricia, of Bude, Jerry Williams, ofBrookhaven, Cedrick Williams and wife, Katina, of Albany, Ga., andJohn Morgan and wife, Lashonda, of McComb; his daughters, EvelynDowns and husband, James, of Baton Rouge, Janice Williams, ofBrookhaven, and Diane Duvall and husband, Terry, of McComb; aspecial grandmother, Rose McWee; his 24 grandchildren, his 18great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
