Ruth Havard
Services for Ruth Havard, of Natchez, are noon Monday, Feb. 2,at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster with burial in Roseland Cemetery.Father David O’Conner will officiate.
Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the funeral home.
Mrs. Havard, 86, died Jan. 29, 2009, at her daughter’s residencein Summit. She was born in Piave on March 13, 1922, to Herbert S.Turner and Claudia Mae Turner. She was a native of Crosby and hadbeen a resident of Natchez for the last 63 years.
She was a 1940 graduate of Crosby High School. She worked forthe Natchez Democrat and City Bank & Trust. She owned andoperated the Embers Restaurant and also operated the Prentiss HotelRestaurant. She also worked for the Natchez Pilgrimage. She retiredfrom housekeeping at the Ramada Inn at age 83. She was a member ofSt. Mary Basilica Catholic Church in Natchez.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Homer B.Turner and Herbert (Shot) Turner; and her sister, Martha TurnerMcNeil.
Survivors are her son, Ronald Turner Havard Sr. and wife,Delores, of Brookhaven; her daughter, Connie Havard Nettles andhusband, Bill, of Summit; her sisters, Mary Turner Hermon, ofSacramento, Calif., and Patricia Turner Robertson and husband,Jimmy C., of McComb; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; andmany nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Scott Havard, Ronald Turner HavardJr., John Wayne Havard, David Clayton Poole Jr., Barclay AlanPoole, William C. Nettles Jr., Todd C. Nettles and Lance A.Nettles.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy McNeil, Jimmy C. Robertson,Chip Robertson, Shawn Dauzat and Jeff Daughdrill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CommunityHospice.
Grace Whittington Lee
Services for Grace Whittington Lee, of Meadville, are 8 p.m.Sunday, Feb. 1, at Bude Church of God with burial in New HopeBaptist Church Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Lee, 90, died Jan. 31, 2009, at Meadville Nursing Home. Shewas born in Franklin County on Nov. 29, 1918, to Joe MarionWhittington and Effie Clark Whittington.
She was a homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LutherLee; and one brother.
Survivors are her sons, Jerry K. Lee and wife, Diana, and RogerDale Lee and wife, Deborah, all of Meadville; her daughters, BettyJo Watkins, of Baton Rogue, La., and Paulette Jones and husband,James, of Meadville; 14 grandchildren; and 19great-grandchildren.
Billy Ray Montgomery
Services for Billy Ray Montgomery, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Sunday, Feb. 1, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in thechurch Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon at the funeral homeand from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Mr. Montgomery, 71, died Jan. 29, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Oct. 31, 1937, to Versie Montgomery andAmye Newell Montgomery.
He worked at Lincoln County Co-Op and Brookhaven Milling Co. Hewas a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepmother, RadieMontgomery; and his sister, Bobbie Mullins.
Survivors are his wife, Brenda Smith Montgomery, of Brookhaven;his daughter and son-in-law, Kristy Smith and Lance Smith, ofBrookhaven; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Delaughter and RonnyDelaughter, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Charity Satterfield,Abby Delaughter, Nick Delaughter, Kacy Smith and Kaylin Smith; andhis great-grandchildren, Carter and Parker Satterfield.

The Rev. Milton Paul Parker
Services for the Rev. Milton Paul Parker, of Laurel, are 2 p.m.Sunday, Feb. 1, at Big Creek Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. The Revs. Don Brown, Steve Casteel, Billy Howseand Danny Pitts will officiate. Ellisville Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.
The Rev. Parker, 82, had been an ordained Baptist minister since1949 and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. He pastored churchesin Mississippi and Alabama. He also owned funeral homes in Lincolnand Franklin counties. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors are his wife, Pauline Welch Parker, of Laurel; hissons, former Congressman Mike Parker and wife, Rosemary, ofBrookhaven, David Parker and wife, Wanda, of Bogue Chitto, andSteve Parker and wife, Barbara, of Hazelhurst; seven grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Adrian Parker, Lee Parker, Thomas Parker,Randy Beech, Graham Parker, Jason Jones, Grayson DeVito, LarryBeech and Gary Guessford. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

She was a housewife. She was a member of Ramah BaptistChurch.

Mr. Tisdale, 89, died Jan. 31, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on March 13, 1919, to Willie Alexandria Tisdaleand Winnie Sledge Tisdale.
He was a retired self-employed petroleum engineer and a memberof the American Petroleum Institute. He was a member of BolinStreet United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy duringWorld War II.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Curtisand Noel Tisdale; and his sisters, Vera Holcomb and PearlCampbell.
Survivors are his wife, Doris Crane Tisdale; his son, DwainTisdale, of Odessa, Texas; his daughter, Sharon Tisdale Abrams, ofHouston, Texas; his grandchildren, Bill Tisdale, Cori Thane,Candace Hinderer and Misti Gil; many great-grandchildren; hisnieces, Beverly Pickering, Linda Gatlin and Sammye Bailey; hissisters-in-law, Elizabeth Pickering and Margaret Crane; and hisgreat-nephews, Trey and Taylor Bailey.

Mrs. Wilson, 71, died Jan. 29, 2009, at Jones County NursingHome. She was born in Monticello on Oct. 7, 1937, to CurtissDaughdrill and Maggie Daughdrill Fredrick. She moved back toMonticello in 1979 from Hazelhurst. She moved to Laurel in2003.
She was a retired manager for TWL in Monticello and a homemaker.She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her sister, BeverlyBufford.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and AmberWilson, of Huntsville, Ala., and Roger and Melissa Wilson, ofLaurel; her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and James Barry Moore,of Laurel; her grandchildren, Kelsey and Kristen Wilson, MarcusMoore and Kayla Moore Johnson; her great-grandchild, Conner Moore;and her step-grandchild, Jade Blackledge.

She was a retired beautician. She was a member of St. Mark M.B.Church.
