Services for R.W. Wilson, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. Monday, Feb.23, at Springfield M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Wilson, 87, died Feb. 19, 2009, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Caseyville on Jan. 24, 1921,to James Wilson and Emma Wilson.

He was a Progress High School graduate and attended Alcorn StateUniversity. Mr. Wilson retired from Jacobsen LawnmowerManufacturing Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Hewas a member of Springfield M.B. Church, where he served as adeacon, Sunday school superintendent and church treasurer. Mr.Wilson was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and NAACP.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Elois SuttonWilson; a son, Gregory; his brothers, James, Hubert, Wilmur andArtiriece; and his sisters, Berneva, Bertell, Leslie, Irie andAlice.

Survivors are his sons, Robert James Wilson, of McComb, and CarlWilson and wife, Mary Helen, of Bogue Chitto; his daughters, SandraAddison, Myra Black, Debbie Corley and husband, Jerry, all ofBrookhaven, and Joyce Wilson; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Wilson,of Bogue Chitto; a son-in-law, James Addison, of McComb; hissisters-in-law, Eloise Bracey, of Chicago, Ill., Earlene Scott, ofBogue Chitto, and Alice Wilson, of Flint, Mich.; and his manynieces, nephews and other relatives.
