Co-Lin in state test

ELLISVILLE – The Copiah-Lincoln Lady Wolves are seeded No. 1 inthe MACJC State Basketball Tournament which tips off Monday atJones County Junior College. Coached by Gwyn Young, the 10th-rankedLady Wolves (22-2, 11-1) play North No. 4 Northeast Monday at 5p.m.

The Co-Lin men (13-12, 7-5) are seeded No. 4 out of the SouthDivision and play North No. 1 seed Itawamba Tuesday at noon.

Semifinals in both brackets are Wednesday. Championship finalsare Thursday at 6 p.m. (women) and 8 (men).

Monday’s other women’s games send East Mississippi againstSouthwest at noon, Itawamaba against East Central at 2 and JonesCounty against Northwest at 7.

In the men’s bracket Jones County is seeded No. 1 out of theSouth and plays Coahoma Tuesday at 7 p.m. Gulf Coast plays EastMississippi at 2 and Pearl River faces Holmes at 5.
