Services for Benjamin “Ben” Lucas, of Liberty, are 1 p.m.Saturday, March 21, at Parson Hill M.B. Church in Liberty withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family present from 5 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Lucas, 60, died March 17, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Amite County onMay 30, 1948, to Monett Lucas and Irma Hughes Lucas.

He was a retired chef. He was a member of Parson Hill M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; and a brother, KelvinLucas.

Survivors are his mother, Irma Hughes Lucas, of Liberty; a son,Shevis Collins, of Liberty; a brother, Ricky Lucas and wife,Sandra, of Summit; his sisters, Linda Scott, Destree Wells andBrenda Williams and husband, Oscar, all of New Orleans, La.; histhree grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
