Services for Edward Sherman Davis, of Union City, Ga., are 2p.m. Saturday, March 28, at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Davis, 93, died March 14, 2009, at Atlanta VA Medical Centerin Atlanta. He was born in Brookhaven on July 31, 1915, to SethenaDavis and Hattie Bell Lambright Davis.

He was a retired florist.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, BeatriceLaverne Hudson Davis; his brothers, Wilbert C. Davis, James A.Davis and Lawrence Davis; and a sister, Josie Davis Lomax.

Survivors are his daughters, Ramona Davis, of Union City, andEileen Davis, of Minnesota; his sisters, Catherine Brown, ofJoliet, Ill., Hattie Barnes, of Seattle, Wash., Elaine Cleveland,of Spokane, Wash., and Marion Herschel, of Las Vegas, Nev.; his sixgrandchildren; his 16 great-grandchildren; and his ninegreat-great-grandchildren.
