Services for Henry Diggs Sr., of Brookhaven, are 1:30 p.m.Wednesday, April 1, at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Brookhaven withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Diggs, 78, died March 26, 2009, at Franklin County MemorialHospital. He was born in Brookhaven on Jan. 17, 1931, to JessieDiggs and Lou Annie Hudson Diggs.

He was a retired logger. He was a member of Della Green M.B.Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his second wife, BessieLewis Diggs; his brothers, Lee Ruth Diggs, Harvey Diggs, EugeneDiggs; and a sister, Clara Baylock.

Survivors are his sons, Roger Diggs and wife, Willie, VictorDiggs and wife, Bessie, Henry Diggs and wife, Shelia, Morris Diggsand wife, Annetra, all of Brookhaven, Henry Diggs Jr., ofLouisiana, and Vernon Fields, of Mendenhall; his daughters, HenrineWatson and husband, Willie, of Jackson, Casserine Winfrey, LisaDiggs, Linda Winters and husband, James, all of Brookhaven; asister, Emma Smith, of Brookhaven; a brother, Robert Diggs, ofHammond, La., his 27 grandchildren; his 34 great-grandchildren; histhree great-great-grandchildren; his uncles, M.L. Hudson and JohnnyB. Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.
