MERIDIAN- The Loyd Star girls knocked off Enterprise Clarke 4-0Thursday night in the firs game of the best-of-three series in theClass 2A South State Fastpitch Softball Playoffs.

Loyd Star (28-1-1) hosts Enterprise Clarke Saturday at 5 p.m.for Game Two. If a third game is needed, it will immediatelyfollow.

Brooke Delaughter (26-1) posted the win with 5 strikeouts and 3walks. Delaughter led the Lady Hornets with 2 singles.

“Defensively, we are still playing well,” said Loyd Star headcoach Jan Delaughter.

Singling for Loyd Star were Carrie Moak and Calleye Douglas.
