Hollis Earl Clark

Services for Hollis Earl Clark, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, May 2, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church on Highway 550 with burialin the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Clark, 58, died April 25, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on April 6, 1951, to Robert Keys and IreneClark.

He was an Eva H. Harris High School graduate. He was disabledand a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Mt. Zion M.B.Church on Highway 550.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Bobbie JeanKeys; his brothers, Ricky Keys and Jessie Townsend; three uncles;and six aunts.

Survivors are his loving and devoted companion, Cynthia MarieMartin, of Brookhaven; a son, Bryant Billups, of Chicago, Ill.; hisbrothers, Robert Keys Jr., of Jackson, Mitchell Keys and JimmyKeys, both of Chicago; his sisters, Evelyn Patterson, of Bolton,Rose Keys, Linda Patterson, both of Chicago, and Luvenia Keys, ofMemphis, Tenn.; a grandchild; his uncles, Robert Clark and RogerKeys, both of Brookhaven; his aunts, Flora Foster, Mary Keys andAnnie Mae McCall, all of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.

Marie Butler Patton

Services for Marie Butler Patton, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, May 2, at Alexander Junior High School auditorium withburial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Miss Patton, 81, died April 28, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on June 21, 1927, to Cammie Butler and Josie MaeGreen Butler.

She attended Alexander Colored School. She had served 28 yearsas secretary and city dispatcher for the City of Brookhaven. Shewas a member of Kynett Pilgrim United Methodist Church inBrookhaven.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, RosemarySmith Houston and Margarette B. Mark.

Survivors are her son, Scott Smith, of Brookhaven; a brother,James Smith, of Lynwood, Ill.; a sister, Elise Mae Cross, ofBrookhaven; her nephews, Willie W. Smith, John Lewis, EddieJohnson, all of Brookhaven, Jamie Smith, of Atlanta, Ga., andAnthony Cobb, of Marina, Calif.; and her nieces, Rochelle Mackabee,Connie Smith, Marcella Bates, all of Brookhaven, and Tracey Smith,of Gurnee, Ill.

Elizabeth Segrest Smith

Graveside services for Elizabeth Segrest Smith, of Chester,S.C., are 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Shelton Graveyard in CopiahCounty. The Rev. Wiley Reid will officiate.

Mrs. Smith, 91, died April 9, 2009, at Chester Regional NursingCenter. She was born in Mississippi to Bert and HenriettaSegrest.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, LucianW. Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Marvin Smith and wife, Ann, of Grove,Okla., and Mack Smith and wife, Evette, of Monroe, La.; a daughter,Glenda Owens and husband, Don, of Chester; a brother, Bert M.Segrest Jr. and wife, Delores, of Brookhaven; her sevengrandchildren; and her nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Shelton Graveyard in Copiah County.
