James Monroe Hux Jr.

Services for James Monroe Hux Jr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Thursday, May 7, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Bogue Chitto City Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Hux, 38, died May 4, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born on March 19, 1971, to JamesMonroe Hux Sr. and Mary Ellen Bales.

He was of Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his father, James Monroe Hux Sr.;his grandparents, Julius and Leona Bales and Monroe and MinnieHux.

Survivors are his mother, Mary Ellen Bales MaHaffey; his sons,Ken Hux and Mandon Hux; his stepmother, Barbara Hux; hisstepfather, Fred MaHaffey; his brothers, Jerry Hux, Stanton Hux andJamie Buitt; his stepbrothers, Jamie Wallace and Darron Wallace;and his stepsister, Theresia Norris.

Troy Willis Tucker

Services for Troy Willis Tucker, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, May 8, at Williams Mortuary Chapel with burial in New HopeM.B. Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Tucker, 60, died May 1, 2009, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on April 15, 1949, to Dan Tucker Jr. and ElaineTucker Lyons.

He was a graduate of Marshall High School in Chicago, Ill. Hewas disabled. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a memberof New Hope M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; and a sister, LindaClark.

Survivors are his mother, Elaine Tucker Lyons, of Brookhaven; astepfather, Ike Lyons, of Brookhaven; a son, Troy W. Tucker Jr. andwife, Shannon, of Goose Creek, S.C.; a daughter, TabithaJoseph-Daniels and husband, Antoine, of Minneapolis, Minn.; hissisters, Mattie Jeanette Richardson, of Pontiac, Mich., andKimberly Tucker, of Chicago; his brothers, Timothy Tucker and wife,Nicole, of Chicago, and Anthony Tucker, of Lansing, Ill.; his fivegrandchildren; his three great-grandchildren; his six aunts; hisfive uncles; and many other relatives.
