Graveside services for Carmen Dunn Blackwell are 10:30 a.m.Tuesday, July 7, at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9until 10 a.m. at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb.

Mrs. Blackwell, 88, died July 4, 2009, at Lawrence CountyNursing Center in Monticello. She was born on April 26, 1921, toRobert Louis Dunn and Willie Eva Mullins Dunn.

She lived in McComb for 68 years. She was a member of NorthMcComb Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was aprimary member since 1950.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, M.H.”Black” Blackwell; and a son, Phillip Blackwell.

Survivors are a son, Ward Blackwell, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Sheila Blackwell, of McComb, and Sherry Blackwell, ofBaton Rouge, La.; her brothers, Carroll Dunn, Lee Dunn and FelixDunn; her sisters, Lucille Belding, Louise Brister, MelissaFortenberry and Marie Brister; her two grandchildren; her twostep-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
