Nell Cade Kimble

Services for Nell Cade Kimble, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on NatchezDrive with burial in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Kimble, 81, died Aug. 9, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Brookhavenon Sept. 19, 1927, to Prentiss Cade and Bonnie Griffin Cade.

She was a retired customer representative for Stahl-Urban. Shewas a member of New Hope Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Riley R.Kimble; and a sister, Margie Jackson.

Survivors are a son, Mike Kimble and wife, Diana, of Brookhaven;her three grandchildren, Brian Kimble, of Mandeville, La., JenniferKimble, of Monroe, La., and Kelly Gillpatrick and husband, Darrel,of Slidell, La.; and a great-grandchild, McKenzie Gillpatrick.

Pallbearers are Brian Kimble, Darrel Gillpatrick, Donald Cade,Tony Cade, Chad Cade and Bradley Cade.

Ruth T. Mullen

Services for Ruth T. Mullen, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Mullen, 76, died Aug. 9, 2009, at Golden Livingcenter-BrookManor in Brookhaven. She was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Raleigh inSmith County to Earl D. and Mary Thorton.

She was a member of Fair River Baptist Church. She attendedWhitworth College and continued her education at the University ofSouthern Mississippi, where she received her degree in elementaryeducation with emphasis in special education. She taught inMonticello city schools and at West Lincoln Attendance Center whereshe retired. She was also a member of the Brookhaven Alpha LionsClub and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl D. and MaryThorton; and her husbands, James A. Smith and D. Wayne Mullen.

Survivors are her sons, Earl “Eddie” D. Smith and wife, Phyllis,of Marietta, Ga., and Eric Michael Mullen, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Nann Pace and husband, Michael, and Wendy Smith andhusband, Steve, all of Brookhaven; a brother, Daniel “Dan” E.Thorton, of Marietta; a sister, Francis Myers, of San Diego,Calif.; her 10 grandchildren, Mark L. Pace, James Pace, Jimmy WayneSmith, Mary Alice Craigs, Dorthy Ann Lee, Erica Keeton, JamesMullen, Stephanie Smith, Steven Smith and Nga Walters; and her 17great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Collins -Honduras Missions of Collins.
