Services for Queen Estella Woods Smith, of Brookhaven, are 1p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Siloam M.B. Church in Brookhaven withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 7 p.m. with familypresent from 6 until 7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith, 64, died Aug. 21, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 20,1945, to Argusta Woods and Edna Smith Woods.

She was a retired nurse technician at Haven Hall HealthcareCenter in Brookhaven. She was a member of Siloam M.B. Church. Sheserved on the Mother’s Board and was also a member of the SeniorChoir.

Preceding her in death were her father; and a sister, Edna RuthArnold.

Survivors are her mother, Edna Smith Woods, of Brookhaven; herhusband, Elijah Smith, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Barbara SmithBrown, LaKesha Smith, both of Brookhaven, and Benita Rogers, ofMontgomery, Ala.; a stepdaughter, Sonya Galloway, of Brookhaven; abrother, Harold Woods, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Berdia JeanMcKnight, of Mound Bayou; her four grandchildren; and her twostep-grandchildren.
