Services for Tommy P. Williams, of Wesson, were 11 a.m. Friday,Aug. 28, at Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Wesson with burial in thechurch cemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge ofarrangements.
Mr. Williams, 65, died Aug. 25, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn in Morton on April 20, 1944, to Roby Williams and FlorenceWolf Williams.
He was a graduate of Morton Attendance Center and attended EastCentral Community College and Jackson State University. Mr.Williams was talented and played in his high school band. Hecontinued his music career for 25 years playing in nightclubs,recording studios and concerts with many celebrities of the day. Asecond career of general contracting allowed him many years oftraveling throughout the state. He was an experienced hunter andenjoyed collecting and restoring guns. His greatest accomplishmentwas accepting and acknowledging Jesus Christ as his personalSavior.
Survivors are a son, Christopher Williams, of Wesson; hisdaughters, Beth Wilson, of Florence, Shelly Renfroe, ofPelahatchie, and Misty Wise, of Wesson; a sister, Mozelle Herring,of Starkville; and his seven grandchildren.
