Services for Lonnie Alton Stroud, of Meadville, were 11 a.m.Monday, Sept. 14, at Sarepta Baptist Church in Meadville withburial in the church cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home was in chargeof arrangements.

Mr. Stroud, 64, died Sept. 11, 2009, at his residence. He wasborn in Franklin County on Nov. 29, 1944, to Houston and FrancesOta Emfinger Stroud.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, JessicaStroud; and a sister, Ruby Smith.

Survivors are a son, Jonathan Stroud, of Natchez; a daughter,Brann Stroud, of Meadville; a sister, Geraldine Oglesby, ofNatchez; her three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
