Services for C.A. Haynes, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Saturday,Oct. 17, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel in Brookhavenwith burial in Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Haynes, 73, died Oct. 13, 2009, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born on Oct. 4, 1936, to Cecil Haynes and MattiePartin Smith.

He was a retired tool pusher for Zappata. He also served withthe U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Haynes was a memberof Mission Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the BrookhavenMoose Lodge and for Mr. C.A., everyone who knew him will rememberhim for his songs and his love of country music.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Cecil Haynes and MattiePartin Smith; his stepfather, Henry P. Smith; and a brother, EugeneHaynes.

Survivors are his wife, Joan Haynes; his daughters, SherryHaynes, of Hattiesburg, and Lindy Haynes, of Brandon; his sisters,Virginia Faye Tanner and husband, Talmadge, of Semmes, Ala., andLoyce Benge, of Pass Christian; his three grandchildren, MichelleLofton and husband, Shorty, Kristal Williams and Lacy Young; andhis seven great-grandchildren, Morgan, Kailey, Garrett, Cole,Branden, Lily Grace and Geran.
