Services for Charles Sherman Moak, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4:30 until 9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home on Natchez Drive and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11a.m. at the church.

Mr. Moak, 92, died Nov. 16, 2009, at Wesley Medical Center inHattiesburg. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 30, 1917, toJacob Alexander Moak and Lucy Ophelia Moak.

He was a graduate of Bogue Chitto Attendance Center. Mr. Moakwas an electrical lineman. He was also a member of Mt. PleasantBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, LarkinMoak and J.E. Moak; and his sisters, Evelyn Reeves, JemmyeStringfellow and Katie Ruth Cowart.

Survivors are a brother, Joe Moak and wife, Bettye, of Abilene,Texas; a sister-in-law, Roberta Moak, of Moultrie, Ga.; his sevennephews, Carroll Reeves, of Pascagoula, David Stringfellow andwife, Kay, of Hanover, Md., Michael Cowart and wife, Beth, of Mize,Richard Moak and wife, Mary Ann, of Quitman, La., Dr. Barry Moakand wife, Sara, of Abilene, Mark Moak and wife, Rhett, of Billings,Mont., and Michael Moak, of Marble Falls, Texas; his five nieces,Ann Mooney, of Petal, Pat Fortenberry and husband, Charles, ofFayetteville, N.C., Brenda King and husband, Jim, of Missouri City,Texas, Sue Dirck and husband, Bob, of Great Bend, Kan., and MaryAnn Smith and husband, Jack, of Moultrie; his 11 great-nieces; andhis eight great-nephews.
