Services for Lula Booker Alexander are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov.18, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel in Brookhaven with burial inthe Nettles Family Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Alexander, 76, died Nov. 15, 2009, at Promise Hospital OfMiss Lou hospice in Vidalia, La. She was born in Adams County onFeb. 4, 1933, to Hardy J. Booker and Lottie Montgomery Booker.

She was a retired telephone operator for BellSouth. She was ofNon-Denominational Holiness faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Okley J.Alexander; her brothers, Jack Booker and Carl Booker; and a sister,Vola May.

Survivors are her sons, Paul Alexander and wife, Linda, ofAlabama, Okley J. Alexander Jr., of Bude, Phillip Alexander andwife, Sherry, of St. Augustine, Fla., and Gary Alexander, ofMeadville; her sisters, Madelene Carter, of Meadville, IreneBrewer, of Natchez, and Morene Sumerall, of Vicksburg; and her fivegrandchildren.

Pallbearers are Leonard McManus, Benjamin Alexander, Paul BrianAlexander, Jeffrey Velazquez, Hincheary Lee and Mark Alexander.
