Services for Carmen Drucilla Lloyd Tate are 2 p.m. Saturday,Jan. 2, at Alexander Junior High School in Brookhaven with burialin Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuary inBrookhaven with family present from 6 until 7 p.m. at the CenterStreet Church of Christ.

Mrs. Tate, 47, died Dec. 26, 2009, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Lincoln County onAug. 29, 1962, to Robert Earl Lloyd Sr. and Johnnie Mae MerchantLloyd.

She was a 1980 graduate of Brookhaven High School and sheattended Jackson State University. Mrs. Tate had worked for severalyears for Wal-Mart Distribution Center, the Brookhaven PublicSchools System and MAP Inc. She was a member of Center StreetChurch of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her paternal grandparents, Henry andAlma Lloyd; a maternal grandparents, Clara Merchant and J.E. Adams;her uncles, Roger Lloyd, James “Rusty” Merchant; and an aunt, EllaMae Merchant.

Survivors are a daughter, Princess C. Lloyd, of Brookhaven; hersons, Cedrick T. Lloyd and Larry E. Johnson Jr., both ofBrookhaven; her father, Robert E. Lloyd Sr., of Hazlehurst; hermother, Johnnie Mae Lloyd, of Hazlehurst; her brothers, Robert E.Lloyd Jr., of Hazlehurst, Andre’ Lloyd and wife, Darla, of Yazoo,Fredrick B. Lloyd and wife, Juanita, of Montgomery, Ala., and RickyR. Lloyd and wife, Donna, of Brookhaven; and a host of aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
