Services for Joseph M. Rector III, of Brookhaven, will be heldat a later date. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Rector, 74, died Jan. 7, 2010, at his residence. He was bornon March 26, 1935, to Joseph M. Rector Jr. and Emma JonesRector.

He was a truck driver. Mr. Rector served with the U.S. Air Forceduring the Korean War. He was a member of the Episcopal Church ofthe Redeemer in Brookhaven. Mr. Rector was also a member of theBrookhaven Lions Club and the American Legion.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph M. Rector Jr.and Emma Jones Rector; a sister, Ann Fossa; and a nephew.

Survivors are his wife, Sarah A. Rector; his sons, Joseph M.Rector IV and wife, Gina, of Midland Park, N.J., Donald C. Rectorand wife, Rhonda, of Charlotte, N.C., and John M. Rector and wife,Robin, of Petal; his six grandchildren, Joey Rector, Justin Rector,Michael Rector, Kara Rector, Jonathon Rector and Sarah Rector; anda niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the HospiceMinistries or the Evening Lions Club of Brookhaven.
