Ralph Lee Smith, 97, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Bay BreezeNursing Home in Gulf Breeze, Fla., with his two daughters at hisside.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Nell PriceSmith; parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.P Smith; and two brothers, J.K.Smith and Herman Smith.

He is survived by daughters, Betty Smith Commins (Ernie) andBeverley Smith Elebash (Billy), five grandchildren, Kelly Heindl(Tim), Jane Elizabeth Litvak (Kramer), Lee Elebash, Patrick Elebash(Penelope), and Luke Jernagan (Hopie); and fivegreat-grandchildren, Sidney and Ben Heindl, and Anna, Kramer andEllie Litvak; three sisters-in-law, Sybil Smith, of Brookhaven,Geraldine Alderman, of Louisiana, and Libby King, of Colorado;numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

A special thanks is extended to the staffs at Bay Breeze and BrookManor nursing homes and to Covenant Hospice.

Services will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Jackson Streetat 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, officiated by Zack Moak, withvisitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow atEasthaven Cemetery, where grandson, the Rev. Luke Jernagan willofficiate.
