Services for Willie Fae Cothern, of Jayess, are 2 p.m. Friday,Feb. 26, at Topeka Baptist Church in Jayess, with burial in JayessBaptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Ricky Cothern, Dale Authement,Richard Green and Lonnie Case will officiate. Catchings FuneralHome in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Cothern, 83, died Feb. 23, 2010, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. She was born in Lawrence County on Feb. 12,1927, to Marvin M. Brister and Bertha L. Boyd Brister.

She was a retired from Kellwood Co., in Monticello.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Robert WebbCothern; her brothers, Willard Brister, Perry J. Brister and R.V.Brister; her sisters, Mary Lue Brister, Ona Pearl Brister, Vera MaeBrister and Jim L. Brister Lambert.

Survivors are her husband, Otha M. Cothern, of Jayess; her sons,Shelton Cothern and wife Paula, of Jayess, Tommy Cothern and wifeAnn, of Ocean Springs, Zackie Cothern and wife Adelia Sue, ofVidalia, La., Richard Cothern and wife Darlene, of Brookhaven,Jerry Cothern and wife Abby, and Joel Cothern and wife Patsy, allof Jayess; her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Greenlee and husbandCharlie, of Jayess; her sister-in-law, Ruby Nell Brister, ofJayess; her grandsons, Bobby Webb Cothern, Sam Cothern, KellyGreenlee and wife Dawn, Kyle Greenlee, Chris Cothern and wife Kaci,Steven Cothern, and Jeremy Cothern and wife Miranda; hergranddaughters, Michelle Cothern, Lisa Cothern, Anna Durr andhusband Joey, Karen Slater and husband Rusty, Kathy Holmes andhusband Jamie, and Kim Langston and husband Josh; hergreat-grandsons, Logan Greenlee, Blake Greenlee, Kade Greenlee,Tyler Cothern, Landon Alexander, Sean Kerry Cothern, Walker EllisCothern, Kacey Durr, Hunter Cothern, Russ Slater, Connor Holmes,Hayden Holmes and Michael Langston; her great-granddaughters,Lauren Cothern, Macey Greenlee, Victoria Cothern, Cadie Durr,Isabella Cothern, Nora Slater and Makayla Langston; and numerousnieces, nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers are Kelly Greenlee, Chris Cothern, Sam Cothern, KyleGreenlee, Robert “Bobby” Cothern, Jeremy Cothern and Steve Cothern.Honorary pallbearers are Joey Durr, Rusty Slater, Jamie Holmes,Josh Langston and Dub Brister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Topeka BaptistChurch Building Fund.
