Services for Jack Gilmer Ford, of Magnolia, are 7 p.m. Tuesday,March 9, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb. The Rev. JamesGillette will officiate.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the service atthe funeral home.

Mr. Ford, 70, died March 6, 2010, at his residence following alengthy illness. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 31, 1939, toHugh Whitaker and Zora Gilmer Ford.

He was a retired offshore tool pusher. He was a member of TheChurch of the Nazarene in Magnolia. He was an avid hunter and amember of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, CathyBrewer; his brothers, Hugh Wiley Ford, James R. Ford and Donald T.Ford; and his sisters, Peggy F. Grable, Florence Brooks and Ruth F.Daquanno.

Survivors are his sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack Hule and CindyFord, of Magnolia, and Donald Troy Ford, of Jackson; his daughtersand sons-in-law, Linda and Johnny Pittman, of Denham Springs, BeckyFaulkner, of Magnolia, and Jennifer and Mark Henderson, of SanAntonio; his sister, Carolyn Ford Easterling, of Brookhaven; andnumerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent toHospice Compassus, 140 North 5th Street, McComb, MS 39648.
