Patrick Valentine shot a 7-over par 42 Monday in leading theBrookhaven Panthers to victory in a 9-hole triangular golf match atthe Brookhaven County Club. Lawrence County shot 183 and placedsecond. North Pike’s Jaguars were third at 201.

Match medalist was David Nichols of Lawrence County with a 5-overpar 40.

Also scoring for Brookhaven were James Michael Patti, 43; PhillipHamilton, 45; D.J. Robinson, 48; and Clay Crozier, 53.

The Panthers, coached by Mike Powell, resume play March 22, at theQuail Hollow Golf Club in Fernwood. North Pike is the hostteam.
