Natalie Wood Myers departed earthly life in Shreveport, La., onMarch 19, 2010. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. onTuesday, March 23, 2010, at Centuries Memorial Cemetery, inShreveport, with the Rev. Bryan McDowell of First PresbyterianChurch officiating.

Mrs. Myers was born in Georgetown in her beloved state ofMississippi on Aug. 4, 1924, to Cornelia Irene Seab and James OmarWood. In 1941 she married the love of her life, Leslie Ray Myers,and together they had two daughters, Katherine Myers Reece andMaureen Myers Grubb.

She was proud of the service she gave to the War Department duringWorld War II while living in Baton Rouge, La. She was a talentedbookkeeper throughout her professional career.

Mrs. Myers is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; hersister, Emma Pauline Wood Farr, of Baton Rouge; her daughterKatherine, of Shreveport; and her precious grandson, John Randall”Randy” Clark.

Left to cherish her memories and tell her story are her daughterand son-in-law, Maureen and Charles Grubb, of Shreveport; hergrandchildren, Jennifer Farmer and husband Ricky, Julia Grubb andJason Grubb; her great-grandson, Caden Daniel Farmer; and herniece, Nenie Ruth Farr Carville, of Baton Rouge; along with a hostof extended family members and friends.

The family would like to thank Shanan Hartly of Bogue Chitto, andthe staff of the Guest House in Shreveport, for their loving careof Mrs. Myers.
