Services for Rose Marie Newman, of Wesson, are 1 p.m. Monday,March 29, at Northview Baptist Church with burial in WessonCemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home andMonday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.
Mrs. Newman, 53, died March 26, 2010, at Hardy WilsonHospital.
Rose Marie Newman was born to Ruby Gilbeaux and Julian Giuard onNov. 5, 1956, in Lafayette, La. At 6 months old, Rose went to livewith her new parents, Wilmer and Emma Newman, in Wesson.
Rose was a graduate of Wesson High School in 1974. She was also agraduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 1991 with a degreein microcomputer applications. She was an employee of FountainConstruction in Hazlehurst until she became disabled in 2007.
She loved spending time with her 10 grandbabies. She also lovedplaying board games with her family members.
On March 26, 2010, Rose lost her battle with cervical cancer hereon earth. The Lord took her home and cured her body. She left thisearth surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mama, Emma Newman; her dad, JulianGiuard; and her brothers, Johnny Mulligan, Billy Davis and RustyGiuard.
Survivors are her wonderful, loving daddy, Wilmer Newman, ofWesson; her mom, Ruby Gilbeaux; her brother, Frankie Newman, andsister, Faye Newman, both of Hazlehurst; her sisters, FlorenceGiuard and Julie Turner, both of New Iberia, La., and AudreyLeleux, of Cottonport, La.; her brother, Patric Gilubeaux, of OceanSprings; her son, Jim Carlisle, of Wesson; her daughters, CrystalCarlisle and Jamie Carlisle McCallum, both of Wesson, and BillieCarlisle Davis and son-in-law, Curtis Davis, both of BogueChitto.
She also leaves behind 10 wonderful grandbabies, Draven Keyes,Krista Davis, Jonathan McCallum, Connor Davis, Sydney Jackson,Malorie Carlisle, Bryce Jackson, Mackenzie Carlisle, LandonCarlisle and Brady Roberts.
