Hailey Nicole Smith and James Clayton Leggett, both ofBrookhaven, were united in marriage on March 13, 2010, at 5 p.m. atBelle Rosen, the home of Ed and Augusta Walden Thompson, inBrookhaven.
The bride is the daughter of Doyle and Jennifer Smith, ofBrookhaven.
The groom is the son of James and Tracye Leggett, ofBrookhaven.
She is the granddaughter of Fred and Joyce Matlock, of Wesson, andthe late Doyle C. Smith Sr., and the late Ellen Brown Smith, ofJefferson County.
He is the grandson of the Opal H. Leggett, of Brookhaven, and thelate Frank E. Leggett and the late Rex and Joan Hart Touchstone, ofBrookhaven.
Bro. Rich Balkcom officiated the ceremony.
The wedding was held in the garden of Belle Rosen under the gazebo,which was decorated with pink Gerber daisies, pink roses, wildsmilax, wisteria, ferns and white twinkling lights. The brickedwalkway was sprinkled with pin rose petals and bordered withlanterns.
The bride wore a chiffon gown with spaghetti straps and an empirewaist that featured a beaded bodice. She carried a bouquet of pinkand multicolored Gerber daisies and roses, hand-tied with pinksatin.
Serving as maid of honor was sister of the bride, Ashton Smith, ofBrookhaven. She wore a strapless cocktail-length dress made ofraspberry colored satin and chiffon. She carried a hand-tiedbouquet of pink and multicolored Gerber daisies and roses.
Best man was James Leggett, father of the groom.
Jamie Treadway, of Brookhaven, served as usher.
Rice attendant was Courtney Creel.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held inside BelleRosen.
The dining room was decorated with Battenburg lace and anassortment of antique crystal, silver, and accented with a varietyof flowers in different shades of pink.
Hostesses were Renee Lanford, aunt of the groom, of Baytown, Texas,and Debbie Keene, a friend of both families, of Brookhaven.
Tea girls were Morgan Daix, Kacie McDavid, Hannah Moak, PennyLewis, Kelly McCullough and Maggie Touchstone.
