Services for Allie Irene Havard Shell, of Roxie, are 11 a.m. onFriday, April 23, at Springhill Baptist Church in Knoxville, withburial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadvilleis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Shell, 95, died April 21, 2010, at Natchez Community Hospital.She was born in Franklin County on Feb. 17, 1915, to Cade NathanielHavard and Allie Irene Ford Havard.

She was a homemaker, and a member of Springhill Baptist Church.Mama Allie was an avid deer and turkey hunter and loved theoutdoors. She loved taking care of and spending time with herfamily. Some of her hobbies were gardening, sewing, watching theAtlanta Braves, riding her golf cart and spending time with hercat, Socks. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Springhill BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roy ShellSr.; two brothers, three sisters and her son-in-law, DavidGriffin.

Survivors are her sons and their wives, Roy and Loretta Shell, ofKnoxville, and Wilber and Nancy Shell, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Linda Carraway and husband Mike, of Knoxville, andElizabeth Griffin, of Knoxville; her nine grandchildren and 12great-grandchildren. Appreciation is given to three special peoplefor their loving care, Barbara Alexander, Tonya Halford andPriscilla Jackson.
